Mutiny - Backstory - 01
Nov. 24th, 2019 08:16 pmBoth Grace and Yasi went "oh my god WHAT" when I mentioned Noah's "foul tempered creatures" in Clarence's recent letter so I figured I'd go and hunt down this old thing from 2008 (!!!) . Only roughly edited. I'm not too sure how old they would be here, but things might have changed slightly if I were to rewrite it to fit better within the timeline. Please enjoy!

Okay I figure I might as well just go in order from here on out so I don't run the risk of getting distracted. So that means, next on my list, is Clarence Temple!
Name: The Right Honorable Earl of Carneath, Clarence Temple
Age: 44
Appearance: Taller than Ean by just a bit, but enough to make it worth teasing over. Dark brown skin, close cropped hair. Features that might have been considered delicate if not for some early strain. Built enough, but still evidence of a willowy frame. Eyes are somewhere between hazel and amber
General likes/dislikes: Dislikes being seen as the outsider, no matter where he is. Enjoys clever conversation and valuing people for more than their cover. Likes to read in his spare time, does not like having very little spare time.
Relation to other characters: He's been friends with Noah since she was 12, so about 26 years now? Met Sebastian a short time later, and Ean a little bit after that. He's trained Adi for the brief time she was at the palace, but he's not too familiar with the other PCs. He has been dating Ean for about 5 years, and he is Rhea's cousin!
Current arc: Trying not to be a worrying partner while his boyfriend is out sailing around the world.
Future?: Well... He has been given ownership of Carneath... so he's going to have to do something about that...
A Song: I.... don't have a song for him yet! Whoops. Sorry Clarence. Taking suggestions?

Making up for not doing this yesterday by posting for Everyone's Favorite Team Dad!!!!
Name: Ean de Gillis, Captain of The Arcadian Titan
Age: 43!he's an old man
Appearance: Russel Crowe from Master and Commander don't at me I know what I'm about. A little over 6', straw blonde hair that goes to about his shoulders. Dark blue eyes, crowsfeet wrinkles.
Backstory: Middle of three children, youngest son, Ean grew up comfortably in the house of an Antillan Senator. It isn't so much that Ean was viewed as "the spare" to his brother's "heir". It is just that Ean didn't have many prospects that would come without them being handed to him. But preferably he would go into politics, or take a commander position in the Antillan defense, or any number of things that would be sure to display his name and abilities as a de Gillis. So he enlists into the Albion ranks after graduation, right at the start of the war, and disappears into them. While there, he meets Prince Sebastian, his fiancee Noah, and her assistant Clarence. They get into some shenanigans and become all really good friends. After the war is over, on the 10th anniversary of the treaty signing, Sebastian gifts him with The Arcadian Titan!
General likes/dislikes: That first sip of a good, strong cup of tea that is just on the right side of being too hot. Loves being able to explore the world and learn the other cultures, especially after the destruction that came with the war. Likes to tinker and develop small devices that aren't... of really important use, but he does appreciate being able to do something with his hands. Dislikes having to take the role of the Bad Guy, but understands that sometimes he has to. Also, apparently, doesn't like bananas.
Relation to other characters: He is Team Dad aboard the ship. This known, and this is widely accepted.
Current arc: Adventures! Worrying about hiskids crew!
Future?: depends on the dice eyes emoji but big
A Song: I listened to a lot of "Sky Full of Song" by Florence and the Machine while writing his backstory.
Also I was asked to talk about his food preferences: He's a fan of fish-based dishes! Also like... light foods in general. Dark greens, and, dare I say it, nuts.
